TLSLP: Shop Austin is an event created to promote the
finest in Austin Shopping.  
Our event will take place on:

Saturday, April 17, 2010
10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Saengerrunde Hall in Downtown Austin

Parking: several parking garages are located nearby for easy access
along with free street parking.

This is the perfect time of year for a shopping event – just before Mother’s Day, Father’s Day
and most graduations.  There are currently no other shopping events in Austin at this time.  
Because this is a daytime event it will be family friendly to attract a broad range of shoppers and vendors.

Marketing our event is of the utmost importance and we will be working very hard to secure media
coverage via the web, print and radio.  Vendors who are selected to participate are expected to help
with marketing via your blog, client mailing list and handing out postcards.  Participating vendors will
be prominently featured on our website with your logo and/or product picture, and we ask that you do
the same for our event.  Help us

What we are looking for:
  • Independent Businesses located in Austin, Texas or the surrounding areas
  • High quality merchandise that is of an original design or concept
  • Merchandise that reflects the taste, culture and fun environment of Austin
  • Sample items: jewelry, home decor, clothing, handbags, baby/kid items, art,                    
    pottery/ceramics, fiber art, gourmet food items (chocolate, salsa, jelly, etc...)
  • Items do not have to be handmade by the business owner, but we prefer that they are made
    or manufactured in Texas. (e.g. Anne Marie designs handbags and while she makes most of
    them herself, she does have assistance in the cutting and sewing!)

    This is a juried event: there is an application fee to help us cover the costs of selecting vendors.
    We expect to have many more applicants than there are spots, so put your best foot forward!

    Up-and-coming vendor information:
    We have a select number of spots reserved for up-and-coming businesses.  In order to qualify for
    these special booths, your business must be less than 2 years old on the date of the show.  More
    information is available on the application.

    Application fee:
    Because this is a juried event there is a non-refundable application fee as follows:
    First Round: $20.00            (CLOSED)
    Second Round: $25.00        (CLOSED)

    Table/Booth fees:
    $65 - $180
    Each space includes chairs and a Table, or if it is an Open Booth, just chairs.

    Picture Requirements:
  • Product photographs - we require 3 product photographs that are clear and show the     
    DETAIL of the items to be sold
  • Booth photographs - we require 1 picture of your best BOOTH DISPLAY

    Shared Space Policy:
    We have certain spaces that can be shared between two vendors. Each vendor must submit their
    own application and be accepted individually. Detailed pricing information is available on the
    application.  Be sure to include the name of the vendor you want to share your space with.

    Refund Policy:
    This year we will be accepting payments for Booths/Tables in a payment plan.  The first payment
    is your deposit and is non-refundable.  Your second payment is also non-refundable once it has been
    made. Reminder – the application fee of $20/$25 is non-refundable

    Texas Sales Tax ID:
    You must have a valid Texas Sales Tax ID number to participate as a vendor.  You will be asked to
    enter your number on the application.  If you do not have a Tax ID, you can visit the Texas
    Comptroller's website for more information.

    Venue information:
    Saengerrunde Hall in downtown Austin is unique.  Located next door to Scholz Garten, the oldest
    restaurant in Austin, it showcases Central Texas' unique German Heritage.  Saengerrunde Hall is a
    funky chic venue with beautiful wooden floors and great character.  Vendors and shoppers alike
    will enjoy spending the day at Saengerrunde Hall!

    An added benefit specifically for vendors:  A kitchen will be available for you to store any outside
    food or snacks you might want to bring in for the day, along with an eating area.  NO food or drink
    will be allowed at the booths as per the request of Saengerrunde Hall (bottled water is okay).

    Show Details and Information:

    Tickets: can be purchased in advance for $10 - $5.00 of which goes to our Scholarship, Frontier!.  
    As a vendor, you will be given two vendor passes for the event – one for you, and one for a helper.  
    We will also provide you with 2 free tickets for your friends and family.

    Parking and Load In/Out: parking is plentiful and easily accessible to Saengerrunde Hall.  
    We will have volunteers on hand to help you unload in the morning and load out in the evening.   

    Lighting/Electrical Outlets: ALL spaces will have electricity this year!!!

    Tables and Chairs:  Tables and chairs are provided and details on booth sizes and fees are provided
    on the application. Table linens and coverings will be the vendor’s responsibility.  Table and chair
    legs will be protected from damaging the wooden floors.  Vendors will not be able to bring in their
    own tables or chairs unless specific arrangements have been made.

    Name Tags:  Two name tags will be provided for you, one for you and one for your helper.  
    Be specific on your application how you would like your name, helper’s name and business name
    to be printed.  

    T-shirts, Totes and Goodie Bags:  The first THIRTY shoppers will receive goodie bags, and we
    ask that you contribute to these goodie bags.  More information on contribution opportunities will
    be provided once you are an accepted vendor.  T-shirts and Totes will be available online at a
    discounted price prior to the event.

    Sponsorship Opportunities:
    You can become a sponsor by providing merchandise, coupons or gift certificates for the goodie
    bags, and/or purchasing an ad in our program. All vendors and sponsors will be featured on our
    website, and your names will be listed on the back of the event T-shirt.
